1. Venue Requirements
- Indoor use only. CO₂ low fog works best in enclosed spaces with stable air.
- Flat, unobstructed dancefloor — no steps, ramps, or uneven surfaces where fog could drift unpredictably.
- No strong airflow — air‑con, open doors, or fans can disperse the effect. (Venue should be able to temporarily switch off or reduce airflow during the first dance.)
- Smoke alarms. The effect is low fog, not smoke, but venues should confirm if they have optical smoke detectors that may be sensitive. (Most venues are fine; we can advise if unsure.)
- Power supply — one standard 13A plug socket near the dancefloor for our machine.
2. Safety & Operation
- Fully operated by Kent Event Hire. Couples and guests never touch or activate the machine.
- CO₂ is safe - it’s non‑toxic and dissipates quickly.
- Due to the cold nature of CO2, it can leave a small condensation on the floor for a few minutes after use.
- Safe around dresses including long trains and veils.
- Children & guests can be around the effect safely, but we ask that no one crowds the machine area.
3. What Couples Need to Know
- The effect lasts throughout the first dance and up to 10 minutes perfect for the first dance and early photos.
- It stays low around ankle to knee height, creating the “cloud” look without rising.
- Your photographer will love it — it enhances lighting and creates stunning silhouettes.
- Song choice doesn’t matter — works with slow or upbeat first dances.
- Let us know your first dance time so we can prep the machine in advance.
4. What the Venue Needs to Confirm
- They are happy for CO₂ low fog to be used.
- Dry Ice is a frozen form of carbon dioxide (CO2) and will not interfere with a venue's smoke alarm system.
- They can reduce airflow during the effect.
- They can provide safe access to the dancefloor for setup.
- They understand the machine will be operated by our trained technician at all times.
5. Setup & Logistics
- We arrive with the machine fully self‑contained — no venue equipment needed.
- Setup takes 30 - 45 minutes. This includes allowing the machine to heat up.
- We position the machine discreetly to keep it out of photos.
- We coordinate with the DJ, photographer, and venue coordinator to time the effect perfectly.
